As part of our exciting partnership with MarineLab, Ocean First Institute (OFI) has established a state-of-the-art research facility next to our dive shop in Key Largo. This new facility will play a vital role in advancing our mission of conservation through research and education. The OFI Research Station provides staff and students with unique opportunities to conduct ecologically significant and conservation-driven research, focusing on endangered species and impacted marine habitats. The goal of this research is to fill critical knowledge gaps essential for science-based conservation efforts, while also offering students hands-on experience in marine conservation. Through our educational programs, OFI aims to nurture the next generation of conservation-minded scientists and environmental stewards, ensuring the protection and sustainability of our oceans for future generations.
