Dominica

Dominica is the largest and most northern of the Windward States with unexploited, dense rainforest covering most of the island. The people who live on the island are committed to preserving the biodiversity here, it’s not known as the “Nature Island” for nothing! Several species of birds and animals on the island can only be found in Dominica, such as the Sisserou and Jacquot parrots. The island itself is still being formed by geothermal-volcanic activity, and is home to the world’s second-largest hot spring. Dominica is a great place for divers of all levels, between the calm shallows to explore and the deep waters home to over 20 species of whale you will not be disappointed. Be sure to check out the thermal springs that are known to erupt underwater where volcanic bubbles and warm water emanate from certain sites.
