Grenada
The island of Grenada is known as the “Spice Isle”, historically this tiny atoll has been a large producer and exporter of nutmeg, mace, cloves and cinnamon. After growing sugarcane on the island for years, it lost its economic value and they began growing spices and have been doing so ever since the 18th century. Now, you will find warm weather all year, white sandy beaches, abundant rainforests, lush botanical gardens and fantastic diving. Perhaps the most famous dive site here is the underwater sculpture park, made of steel and concrete and held at the bottom of the ocean by bolts, you can swim up to the sculptures and see the beauty of the art form as well as how they provided a habitat to marine life, coral, algae and sponges. On your other dives you may encounter one of the many wrecks, moray eels, spotted stingrays, frogfish or possibly the elusive black seahorse. With tons of underwater and topside activities, Grenada is a no brainer for a vacation.
