Kali Waterfall & Tangkoko Nature Reserve

Kali Waterfall & Tangkoko Nature Reserve

Your journey begins with a visit to the enchanting Kali Waterfall, tucked along the scenic route to Manado. Here, you’ll step into a tranquil rural village before setting off on a picturesque walk to not one, but two breathtaking waterfalls. Be sure to wear sneakers or hiking boots—the trail can get a bit slippery—and consider packing a change of clothes. The sheer power of the falls creates a refreshing mist that swirls through the air, drenching everything in its path and adding to the exhilarating atmosphere. A charming bridge spans the river, offering the perfect vantage point for capturing stunning photos of this natural wonder.

After soaking in the magic of Kali Waterfall, your adventure continues with a scenic 2-hour drive to the famed Tangkoko Nature Reserve, a lush 9,000-hectare sanctuary teeming with wildlife. Along the way, you’ll enjoy views of charming local villages and stop for a relaxing lunch.

Upon arrival, you’ll be led by an expert forest ranger and Safari staff as you explore the reserve in search of its iconic inhabitants: the rare Macaca nigra (black crested macaque), majestic hornbills, cuddly cuscus, and the enchanting Tarsier tarsier, one of the smallest primates on Earth. This immersive wildlife experience offers incredible opportunities to observe species found nowhere else in the world.

As the sun sets, we’ll savor a delicious dinner at a local restaurant before making our way to your selected resort in Tomohon—bringing a spectacular day of nature, culture, and discovery to a perfect close.
